On a whim in early summer whilst in London I caught up with the lovely Paul & Beck. A chance to catch up and the perfect time to shoot a lovely London Engagement.
Paul and I have crossed paths for years through a photography forum. He is a wonderful landscape and travel photographer (you can check out his work here). I was very excited when he dropped me a message last year about documenting the day he marries the lovely Beck (in country Victoria in early 2018). It just so happens they have been living and working in London and exploring Europe for the past couple of years. The moons aligned for us, as I was spending some time in London whilst on my way to and from Iceland to shoot an elopement. It was just fantastic to shoot a London Engagement and explore the city in a whole different way.
We decided to meet at St Paul’s Cathedral before heading over the Millennium Bridge. We ventured through the Tate Modern and along the river Thames taking in the afternoon sun. Paul & Beck knew of an awesome rooftop overlooking St Paul’s so we finished up there. We had plans to celebrate my last night with some burgers at the awesome Patty & Bun in Soho with Keith and Eva (who you will soon see with my Iceland blog).
It was especially fun playing with the light and shadows within the Tate Modern, an absolutely wonderful building. I also loved incorporating the iconic Tube into the end of the shoot. What a way to explore the streets of London and spend some awesome times with Paul & Beck on my last night in London.
A London Engagement
I absolutely loved shooting in and around London and I cant wait to shoot there again. In fact Destination Weddings, Elopements and Engagements are something I hold dear to myself. The opportunities and couples I get to meet from around the world are simply awesome. It ties in my love of travel, capturing dramatic landscapes and documenting love stories all into one. Dude you’re a kick ass london wedding photographer. You should come over more often – Ive shot here so many times and thought there wasnt much left to be photographed. You proved me wrong – feeling inspired!
