I absolutely loved my first visit to the Driftwood Shed in Terara to document the wedding of my friends Jim & Jodie. It always brings a smile to my face when I rock up to a wedding and see the beaming faces of friends. I went to high school with Jim, a larger than life character that has amazing connections with everyone in his life. The connection that he shares with the love of his life Jodie is especially special. They just love life together, enjoying each others company and time with their beautiful dog Evie.
Evie just had to be at the wedding, it was a driving force behind finding the right location that could include her. When they found the Driftwood Shed they knew this was the place they would get married. The Driftwood Shed offered a picturesque location, it was dog friendly and provided the weekend away Jim & Jodie wanted for their family and friends. The day was full of personal touches, such as the hand made paper cranes and gifts made by Jim’s mum. However the highlight for me was seeing so many helping hands get everything set, and for the day to turn out just perfect for Jim & Jodie.
From goats eating bouquets, endless belly rubs for Evie and a party that could have lasted all night long. This wedding rocked it and you can tell just from all the smiles on all of the faces in these photos. So much emotion and love. Thank you Jim & Jodie for letting me document your beautiful wedding.
Wedding at the Driftwood Shed
I absolutely love shooting in the Southern Highlands and South Coast of NSW, a wonderful part of the world. The Driftwood Shed is a beautiful venue on the Shoalhaven River in Terara, just outside of Nowra. The atmosphere is just perfect, being right on the river with quirky styling and a relaxed vibe. Jim & Jodie really wanted a venue that made for a great weekend away, and to feel relaxed and easy going. The Driftwood Shed encompasses all of this.
