I first met Gennadi when I first started getting into photography quite a few years ago now. It was sunrise at Coogee Beach and I had organised for a few people to meet at a spot for some seascapes. Over the years we have caught up over time and captured quite a few sunrises and I was delighted when late last year he got in touch with me in regards to shooting his wedding! We all met in Newtown one evening in September and discussed the wedding, and ever since that meeting I knew they were going to do it on their terms, and certainly have a blast doing so.
Day 1 consisted of a Jewish ceremony at The Boathouse in Woy Woy, followed by morning tea, bridal photos at Pearl Beach and a powder paint fight. Day 2 consisted of the reception at the lovely Simmer on the Bay at Walsh Bay, which included a few traditions, a dance performance (by family), a saxophone performance, the most epic cake made of cheese I have ever seen, a swing dancing class, a ‘swing dance first dance’ by Gena & Dina and so much dancing that I was tired from watching it all.
As you may guess, it is kind of hard for me to fit this into a small post.. so I just went with it. A big thank you to Rachael for second shooting this with me, it was an epic event to capture.

P.S.
Thank you for starting off my Monday morning with a big smile and a tear in my eyes… 😉 Sharing Love… is a beautiful way to start any day! ♥
Looks like a lot of fun! But also make weddings sound like an endurance sport haha. But hey we know the truth, they really sometimes are! And we love every bit of it. Well done, some really nice captures.
You inspired me to go around the coast, anyway it is real pleasure to watch, your storytelling, way you have shown their day is perfect. Nicely done Jack 🙂
