Over time in the industry you get to know and meet some wonderful people and wedding vendors who provide other awesome (and often complimentary to what I do) services for my clients. Below you will find a variety of lovely wedding vendors and wedding venues that I love. If you would like any feedback or information about any of the below, feel free to contact me.
Finding the right wedding venue is always tricky as it is a very personal decision. Is it based on a beautiful location? Is it based on convenience? A certain wedding style? A certain number of guests? Taking the time to find a variety of places near or far from where you live will make sure you pick the right spot for your wedding.
This is a beautiful spot in SE Queensland in a place called The Lost World Valley at a beautiful venue called Worendo Cottages
Below are a number of my favourite venues in Australia.
Wedshed – This amazing team are putting couples in touch with amazing venues for their wedding days. Do check them out, I love them so much I have decided to affiliate with them to help spread the word.
It is often over looked but a wonderful celebrant is one of the most important wedding vendors that one will need to find. They tie together the story of the ceremony, a momentous part of the day and someone you will remember for many years to come. Picking one is very personal, I am lucky to call a number of wedding celebrants friends and have listed them below.
I would not be surprised if Robyn’s name has popped up a few times when looking for a celebrant. She is a warm, lovely and awesome person who can truly present an intimate and personalised ceremony for any couple. She is fun, organised and just a joy to work with.
Melissa is really personable and lovely to work with. She is able to create a very personalized ceremony for any couple.
Jessie is so lovely and down to earth and can tailor a wedding ceremony to any style that you wish.
Victoria goes by the name ‘All we need is love’ she does an amazing job and is quite handy with a make up brush too!
Gary is not only a lovely bloke but has a great sense of humour and truly makes some incredibly intimate, funny and memorable ceremonies.
Stephen is very friendly and sophisticated. I have enjoyed working with him over the years and knew he was very passionate about what he does from the very first ceremony I saw him at. The ceremonies I have seen from him have flowed really well, been very personable and are very memorable.
Hair & Makeup
Marlon and Redgie are relaxed and fun loving guys who really know how to document a day as it happens. They have a no fuss approach, and a great eye for detail. They are great for me to work with as well, because our styles blend together very well. This means we can work as a team, work with each other and create some awesome stories.
John & Elliot have a very hands off approach but a great attention to detail. Fun to work with and have document a wedding day alongside.
Tom Coburn Wedding Films
Tom has a great approach to weddings, similar to my own. Non obtrusive and capturing the day and the little moments from start to finish.
Hummingbird Wedding Films
Josh is fantastic, having met him a few times over the years I have always enjoyed working with him and the films he creates.
Leon & Lei are a fantastic Husband+Wife Cinematography/Videography team who match up very well with the style of photography I capture and the way I shoot. What does this mean? It means that we work together very well in allowing each other to work the way we like to work and delivery quality and complimentary work. Check them out.
I Heart Productions
Ross and his team do a fantastic job and is always a pleasure working together. I have worked both next to Ross, as well as been a groomsman at a wedding he has shot.
Florists & Styling
Booth Boy Photobooth – An awesome Open-Air style photobooth run by my good friend and photographer Samuel Burns.
Wedding DJ’s & Wedding Bands
XYDJ – Simon and his team are awesome at what they do and really know how to read a crowd. Matched with their impeccable taste in music, they are really nice down to earth people who treat their clients like gold and keep the party alive all night long (and if I am lucky they will play All Night Long as well.. a favourite of mine). I love what they do and am always happy to see them at weddings I shoot.
Paper Hearts – An awesome duo who really capture the mood and play beautiful sets of music. Highly recommended and have loved seeing them play.
Greg Byrne – I met Greg years ago when he was a groomsman, and it turned out I kept seeing him afterwards at weddings as a Lead Singer. He puts together bands based on what you are after, he also has a successful band of his own out of weddings. Lovely guy and knows how to get a dance floor going.
Slide McBride – I saw these guys many moons ago (at one of my first weddings) and loved the music, character and presence they had. They can do a range of styles from acoustic to full band setup (even both during the one day). It creates an amazing ambiance and show for the guests and gets the dance floor moving later in the day which is always fun.
Baker Boys Band – A popular establishment in Sydney for seeing and then picking the band you want for your Wedding. I have seen a few different Baker Boys combinations of musicians and they have always put on a great show.
Cakes & Desserts
Mandy Heng – Mandy is amazing at what she does and makes custom dresses for all occasions (and especially weddings).
Sherry Bridal – Sherry is awesome and makes some absolutely beautiful dresses. Definitely worth checking out what she can do for you 🙂

Nikki Design Co – The wonderful Nikki was a beautiful past bride and client of mine. She is super talented and creative. Making beautiful hand painted signs for weddings. She is also a calligraphy wizard and worth checking out.
Baden Studio – Josh is amazing with invitations, thank you cards and all things print and design. He assisted me with my recent re-brand and print and packaging collateral.
