Aislinn – A Centennial Park Lifestyle Portrait Session

So Aislinn and I have been trying to organise a shoot.. for well over 12 months. We live quite a ways apart, and with weddings taking up the weekends for me we found it hard to find time. So we finally were able to connect the other week and get a shoot done in good old Centennial park. I think it turned out rad.

Alex & Nguyet – Awesome Autumn Portraits in Bicentennial Park

Well this is a little blast from the past… seeing as though I shot this in April 2012 alongside Daniel.. my my doesn’t time fly. Alex and Newii have a proper love story of how they came to find each other in life. It was a pleasure to get to know them both better and we had a lot of fun shooting that Autumn afternoon. The sun came out to play, it was warm for the end of autumn and the day finished with a lovely sunset in Bicentennial Park. See for yourself (there is a little treat towards the end of the post).

Matt & Jess – Film Frames from a Farm Wedding Day

So it was last year that I ran a photo booth for Rachael at the lovely Bella Vista farm for Matt & Jess’s wedding. I have yet to share any photos from their engagement shoot, but I did shoot some film whilst I was assisting at the wedding itself. They were such a fun, relaxed and joyful couple that totally made sure their wedding was their style. With a fantastic dress made at Gallery Serpentine in Newtown and an equally impressive outfit for Matt, I took some portraits of each of the colour coded bridal party as well as a few during the bridals.

All shot on my Mamiya 645AFD on Fuji Pro 400H.

Katie & Bryce – A Watsons Bay Spring Wedding

There is so much I could write about these two. It was such a special honour for me to shoot their engagement party.. and pre-wedding.. and lastly their wedding day. Not only due to the support and kindness they have shown me in allowing me to do my thing and capture their entire story, but to be able to give something back to a long time family friend.

I wanted to go out on a limb on this one… and in the weeks leading up to Christmas I ended up in cahoots with Kate’s brother, Sam. He was after a specific photo for a gift for Christmas, and we kind of joked about how it would be great to give Katie her wedding photos on Christmas Day. Next thing I know.. with a few sleep deprived nights and maybe a little too much coffee; I was delivering a ‘from Santa’ Christmas surprise to Sam on Xmas eve to take away with him and hide under the tree at the family lunch.

He took photos.. the reaction brought a very big smile to my face.

Katie has always had a great eye for the good things in life, and I expected her wedding day to be nothing short of amazing.  I have tried to keep it to a minimum, but it was hard.. and I hope you enjoy the extended story telling of Katie & Bryce’s wonderful wedding in Watsons Bay at the beautiful Dunbar House.
