I have known Ally & Dave for a couple of years now and finally convinced Dave to step around the camera and feature in front of it (Ally is certainly not shy in front of the Camera!). I always enjoy shooting other photographer’s, it is both an interesting yet intimidating exercise as I often am thinking about how they are analyzing the same situation. They decided to bring along their little bundle of joy.. their dachshund, Oscar. He is a cute little guy with the knack of catching people by surprise and showing their face some love with a licking frenzy.
The choice of Centennial Park was almost too easy; due to its nice quiet/secluded locations, dog friendly tracks and some of my personal favourite spots for utilizing the afternoon light. Spring time along with the flowers, smells and warmth throws up some amazing golden light at the end of the day. I also used this opportunity to have some fun with my newly acquired Mamiya (that will feature in a post to come).
Check out the film set from this shoot here. Like what you see? Why not check out some of my other portrait sessions and contact me about having one of your own.
